  • The deadline for full payment is 5 days (120 hours) before the start time of your booking. In the event of a cancellation, all payments made are fully refundable up until this point. If full payment has not been received by this point, your booking will be cancelled and you will lose your deposit.

    Bookings can only be rescheduled up until the payment deadline, 5 days before the start time of your booking.

    For bookings made with less than 5 days notice, full payment is required within 24 hours if only a deposit has been paid. All payments made within 5 days of a booking are also non-refundable.

  • Generally payment is made by bank transfer on invoicing.

    We can also off payment via credit card. Please get in touch for further details.

  • A commercial booking is where the content created is being used to generate revenue i.e. to sell a product or service such as e-commerce, brand campaigns or online advertising (including social media) as well as ticketed events.

    To qualify for the editorial rate, your booking must meet the following criteria:

    1. The studio usage or content created will not be used to generate revenue in any way, such as to advertise or sell a product or service. This includes marketing on social media , whether direct or indirect.


    2. Services on the day are provided on a pro bono basis or at a reduced rate (rather than at the usual commercial rate), such as photography, hair and makeup or styling etc.

    Examples of shoots that fall under our editorial category include; magazine stories, documentaries, student projects and test shoots.

  • Penda Studios is just 100m away from Queens Road Peckham Station on the London Overground and Rail networks.

    Bus routes 36, 136, 171, 177, 436, P12, P13, N89, N136, N171 all stop nearby.

    We have two pemits for off-street parking outside the studio.

  • Yes, we have two parking permits available for parking outside the studio.

    There is also plenty of free parking available on many of the adjacent streets.

  • The studio is ground floor, easy access. No stairs or lifts to negotiate.

    We have a 5m x 4m roller shutter that opens should you require access for large items or equipment.

    Our step free access and level floor is suitable for wheelchair users.

  • Studio hire is available 7 days a week.

    Our normal hours of business are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

    However, please get in touch if you wish to arrange access at other times.

  • Our minimum booking period is for a half day (4 hours).

    However, we may be able to offer a last minute hire for 1-3 hours. Please get in touch to find out more.

  • The studio is equipped with a basic kit of 3x Elinchrom 500 mono heads with soft boxes and umbrellas.

    2x Cambo studio stands (9ft and 7ft).

    2x 85w LEDs with Softboxes

    6x Black/white Polyboards

    4x Sand bags

  • We have a hair/make up station with mirror, hairdryer.

  • Due to the overhead train lines, the studio may not be suitable where long takes of clean sound recording are required.

  • We have approximately 1500sqft of shoot space with a solid concrete floor and level, drive in access.

  • Our modern kitchen is suitable for food and drink shoots, catering for small events or just making lunch for the crew.
